Aims and scope	Modern optical measuring techniques based on the detection of an interaction of photons or an electromagnetic radiation with an item under test. The emphasis can be on: the measuring procedures : spectroscopy, interferometry, speckle, modulation techniques, structured illumination techniques, image sensing (camera-based sensors), radiometry, photometry … the instrument system development the application fields : Life Sciences (Biomedicine, Environment, Food…), production technologies, IT systems, Traffic, Optical Communications, Astronomy… general interest : comparison of optical systems with other measuring techniques…
